The Journey Begins

For Anthony and Elaine Venn, farming isn’t just a livelihood; it’s a way of life deeply ingrained in their family for over 30 years.

After years of tending to cattle and merino sheep, Anthony grew tired of the reliance on external help for farming tasks. Seeking a more self-sufficient approach, he decided to explore the world of goat farming.

Discovering the Joy of Goats

Four years ago, Anthony’s decision to introduce goats to their farm marked the beginning of an incredible journey.

Unlike cattle and sheep, goats require minimal intervention, allowing the Venn family to manage them entirely on their own. This hands-on approach ensures the goats are less stressed, happier, and free to roam the paddocks with ease, resulting in a more natural and carefree grazing experience. “Our goats are fed our own oaten hay in the summer months and graze on natural pastures in the winter months”.

As they delved deeper into goat farming, the Venn family discovered not only the practical benefits but also the culinary treasures these animals hold.
